Oh my goodness, I am exhausted. This whole, stay up really late, go to class at 9am, siesta for a couple of hours, and go out/stay out late again is getting tiring. It´s equivalent, I think, to perpetual jet lag. Right now I´m in between classes. I only have two classes on Fridays, which is awesome. So I will be going home to sleep afterwards (after I update my blog, claro).
Yesterday I had classes and then we had almuerzo at a pizza place near the Universidad. Oh my god. I have never eaten worse pizza in my life. Dear god. Everyone hated it. I don´t know if it´s España or if it was the restaurant (I´m assuming it was the place), but it was SO bad. I went home and siesta´d afterwards. Then I met up with some chicas a la gorda for some pre-salsa activities, but we ended up getting lost and just going straight to the salsa dancing lessons at Pub B12 (whatever that means, haha). We were the first ones there, but people showed up really fast. It was a Universidad event, so we knew the people who had organized it. There was a bar and a floor. That´s it. It was just a space to bailar. There was a woman who was showing us some salsa moves, but mostly people just made it up or did normal club dancing.
It was really fun. Yo bailé con la gente más bonita en España. I left kinda early, aka around 1am, because I had class today at 9am. As I walked home, I saw many people still going strong in the bars. I don´t know how the Spanish do it - all night every night. I´m really surprised I didn´t get lost, but I didn´t. I managed to get home, shower, and sleep for maybe 6 hours. Definitely going to need a siesta today, especially because we are going out tonight because a girl in our group turned 21 today.
I cannot wait para la fin de semana, when I get to sleep in a little, though not much. On Saturday we have a walking tour and then lunch with the Umass group. This lunch is more authentic España, so I´m hoping it will be better haha. And then on Sunday I´m going with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN - the people who organized all these little events, including salsa) to Covadonga, Lagos, y Ribadesella. This is a mini excursion that costed 10 Euros. All I know about these places is that they have a lot of the cultura Asturiana and you can´t visit Asturias without seeing them. I will know a lot more once I go, and I will definitely have fotos to share.
*Besos*
